Requiem for the honeybelle minneolas
I visited Pauls yesterday, and not seeing the regular honeybelles, was told the California minneolas that they had would be exactly the same, so I purchased some. Well, let me tell you!!! Was I disappointed this morning when I squeezed these babies. They're thick skinned, and not very juicy, though they do taste good. So until February 2010, I'll just have to make do. It's a hard, hard, life.

Our grandchildren will never believe the hard times we had to survive, will they? We can hardly wait for the "real" tomatoes.
